Should I pour vinegar down my drain line?I get this question all the time. The truth is that you shouldn't be pouring anything down the drain line. The line needs to be cleaned out with a shop vac every 3 months to keep it clear of algae growth and debris.

How often should I do maintenance?Maintenance should be completed at least once a year, but we do recommend doing it twice a year. The idea is to catch a potential breakdown ahead of time and make a repair. It's also essential to keep your system running as efficiently as possible.

How often should I replace my air filter?It depends on a few factors. The size and MERV rating of the filter, as well as the location of the filter, will determine how frequently it needs to be replaced. A basic one inch filter in a ceiling return grill should be replaced every three months. A six inch filter can last up to 6 months. The higher the MERV rating, the more frequently it will need to be replaced. If your air handler has an open return in a closet, filters will need to be replaced monthly as they tend to pickup more debris and particulates from the floor and closet space.
